Factory engraved Smith & Wesson Model 24-3 double action revolver with case. Made 1983 in the first run of 100 guns. This is one of 25 guns that was factory engraved and has a nickel finish. Typical trademark on the left side of the frame. Standard company address on the right side of the frame. Caliber marking on the right side of the barrel, with "SMITH & WESSON" on the left. Standard blade front sight and adjustable U-notch rear. Factory scroll engraving on the barrel, frame, and cylinder with a nickel finish throughout. Case colored serrated trigger and knurled spurred hammer. Original smooth finish wood grips with "S&W" medallions. Includes factory light blue velvet lined wood display case, cleaning tools, papers, and cardboard shipping box. Brass plaque on the top of the case is marked "SMITH & WESSON/MODEL 24/.44 SPECIAL/1 OF 25/FACTORY/A PLUS ENGRAVED". CONDITION: Metal retains 99% of its original finish with little signs of handling. Grips are excellent. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Gun is unfired from the factory. Tight hammer and cylinder. Very light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. Case is excellent as well.
