Colt Detective Special double action revolver with holster. Made 1922. Company address on the right side of the barrel. Backstrap is marked "AM.RY.EXP.". Left side of the barrel is marked "DETECTIVE SPEC./.38 COLT N.P. CTG.". Rampant Colt pony marked on the left side of the frame. "VP" marked on the left corner of the trigger guard. Round steel barrel with blade front sight. Factory blued finish. Smooth oil finished wood grips. Includes an unmarked leather belt holster and a "AMERICAN RAILWAY EXPRESS" marked badge. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with light wear and some patina forming on the cylinder. Grips have a few handling marks. Bore is clean overall with very good rifling. Hammer is tight. Cylinder has some light side-side movement. Good timing and lock up. Holster has light wear. JWA
