Smith & Wesson American Number 3 second model single action revolver chambered in .44 Smith & Wesson. Features a square butt frame, 8" barrel with a pinned front sight, rounded frame around the trigger pin, and interlocking hammer and latch. Fully engraved barrel, frame, and cylinder in an American style scroll. Smooth ivory stocks attached. Rear sight seems to have been warn down smooth along with the sides of the latch. Includes wooden display case with green felt lining. CONDITION: Very good overall condition with faint traces on original bluing in heavily protected areas and most of metal surfaces having a silver patina. Semi dark bore. Loose mechanics may need some attention. Small chip on bottom right stock. Wooden case has scratches and small chips from handling. GFP.
