Open Top Pocket Revolver manufactured by Colt in 1874. Top of barrel bears Colt's 2 line address. Features include a nickel finish, blued hammer & trigger, 2 - 1/4" barrel, as well as 2-piece smooth wood birdshead grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame and barrel. Accompanied by an original factory cardboard box that hand-scribed on the bottom to match and is ink stamped "N.J.LeFEVER/ TIN & SHEET IRON/ WORKER/ PARADISE, PA" on the interior of the lid. CONDITION: Frame retains large amounts of its original nickel finish, with the barrel and cylinder exhibiting large areas of wear that shows through to gray patina. Bore exhibits oxidation and good rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered handling marks, with some areas of loss to the varnish overall. Box shows exterior aging and exterior wear overall, with several taped repairs. Graphic is easily legible.
