Notch rear sight on top strap, dovetailed bead front sight. Top strap above cylinder engraved "DEANE ADAMS & DEANE, LONDON". Octagonal barrel. Standard cylinder axis pin and left sided rammer. Checkered hammer. Frame is engraved in standard English scroll, which extends to top strap and trigger guard, with lined borders. Crowned muzzle with wriggle work engraving. Checkered grip with spur at top. Pommel with raised diamond and lightly engraved with scroll en suite with frame. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the English high polish blue, with some minor losses and browning scattered throughout. Engraving is crisp. Cylinder with someone more losses than balance of gun but still highly attractive. Rammer assembly with some old spotting that does not detract. Some minor silvering to operational areas, such as where rammer touches frame, axis pin touching barrel, etc. Grip straps are basically patina. Grips are very good and proud to metal in a few areas. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with strong rifling but a few small pits. Accompanied by a modern display plaque that reads "Deane Adams & Deane / London / 1856".
