Remington Model 1875 single action revolver. Made circa 1875-1889 as a competitor to the Single Action Army. Faint company address visible on the top of the barrel. "44" marked on the left side of the frame. Inside of the left grip strap is numbered "534". Inside of the grip is marked "534" as well. "H" inspector stamps marked as well. Round barrel with blade front sight and u-notch rear. Metal has formed a heavy brown patina. Walnut grips with aftermarket checkering cut into each panel. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finish with a heavy brown patina forming in most areas. Grips have light wear and a few handling marks. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. Hammer and cylinder remain tight. Mechanically operable. JWA
