Third Reich Gendarmerie NCO (Oberwachtmeister) rural police tunic. Tunic is made from a "mottled green" (Grunmeliert) fabric with four pleated and scalloped pockets, with no holes or visible damage. Tunic exhibits light wear and aging overall (especially on exposed areas), with a 12" vertical stain on the upper back. Left inside lining is marked with the normal five sets of size markings, and "Oskar Tovote(?) & Co.K.u., HERFORD IW". One set of award loops are present on the left chest. The tunic is lined in an light gray cotton twill, with a couple of light stains. Three belt hook holes with adjustment strap are present, as well as an aluminum belt hook. Behind the left side lower pocket is a hand sewn metal hook, for an unknown reason. The inner collar and upper tunic have five matching era sewn liner buttons. Two orange branch Litzen are machine sewn to the collar with light wear. The slip-on shoulder boards have an orange base with brown tops, and silver bullion NCO rank tress, with light wear overall. An orange Polizei eagle on a "mottled green" base is machine sewn to the upper left sleeve. The six front buttons, four pocket buttons, and two shoulder board buttons all are removeable and have metal loops to secure them. CONDITION: Overall excellent. WEZ
