German Heer Model 1941 "Gebirgsjager" "Obergefreiter" combat tunic (Feldbluse). Tunic is made from field gray wool, with scalloped and pleated pockets. Tunic exhibits nap wear throughout, no holes, very light moth damage, and a couple of repairs between the shoulders and inside the collar. Light staining is present on the lower part of the tunic and inside the collar. A very solid field worn example. Tunic is marked on the lower right inside with a faint "1943", marker marked, and size markings. Two ribbons (EKII and Ostfront) are sewn to the tunic in the second buttonhole, and appear to have been era applied. Tunic is partially lined in an olive cotton, and has three belt hook holes with an adjustment strap on each side. Collar has two machine-sewn Litzen, which have been reapplied, as the earlier stitch line is present. The three buttons inside the collar have been post-war replaced, and they are not matching. Breast eagle is straight line machine sewn, but has been reapplied. An older stitch line is present inside, and the eagle is both crooked and slightly off-center. Mountain troop piped slip-on shoulder straps are present and exhibit the same nap wear and light staining as the tunic. There are six buttons on the front, four on the pockets, and two on the shoulder boards, and all appear to have been era applied. An "Obergefreiter" rank chevron is hand sewn to the left sleeve, and a "Gebirgsjager" patch is hand-sewn to the right sleeve. CONDITION: Overall very good. WEZ
