Kepi made of tarred or painted canvas. Very thin material with off-white lining. Thin bound visor crudely stitched to the body. Flat brass buttons on narrow non-functional chinstrap. Exterior painted with red crown, white lower band, and blue body, now shifting toward green. Likely meant to be a late nineteenth century red, white and blue parade cap. Losses from flexing to the waterproofing. Dirt and stains to the white band and red crown. CONDITION: Fair to good.
