Lot consists of 4 Civil War projectiles. (A) 3" Parrot rifle shell type II. Rabbeted brass band and brass fuse plug in place. Fuse plug can be unscrewed for display. Collector note find location as Fredericksburg. CONDITION: Very good. Light overall pitting. Even brown tone. 1 or 2 shallow surface chips. B) 3", 10 pound, Parrot Type III with brass sabot, zinc fuse. Find location Fredericksburg. CONDITION: Very good. Zinc fuse shows minor oxidation, but good definition and intact wrench holes. (C) 3 - 3/4" James sub-pattern "Birdcage" shell with brass nose cap. CONDITION: Very good. Good edges. some light brown mixed with dark brown. Shallow pitting. (D) 12-pound spherical shell with Bormann "braille" time fuse. CONDITION: Excellent. Appears unfired. Nice surface, even color. Fuse not corroded. Small deactivation hole at bottom. 4 nice Civil War projectiles with variations.
