Scarce Harding 6.4 inch shell with copper sabot. Used in the 6.4" Brooke rifle and the rifled and banded 32-pounder. Flat nose inlet for wooden fuse plug. Collector note find location as a South Carolina river. This is most likely Charleston area. Sometimes noted as Harding sub-pattern III. CONDITION: Very good. Minor shallow pitting. 2 chips at bottom base along top edge of sabot. Good example with sabot intact.
