Lot consists of: (A) Martially marked Remington New Model Army .44 percussion revolver manufactured 1873 to 1875. Blued 8" octagon barrel with 3-line "NEW MODEL" address. Blade front sight and frame notch rear. 6-shot percussion cylinder with safety notches between chambers. Revolver bears "C" condemnation marks on barrel, cylinder and frame, in addition to "W" inspector mark on barrel and "J" inspector mark on frame. Grips are 2-piece smooth walnut marked on left panel with inspector cartouche. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel retains noticeable portions of factory applied blued finish turning to brown patina. Frame has traces of blue with overall brown appearance. Traces of faded case colors visible on hammer. Grips have expected impression and light wear, partially obscuring cartouche. (B) E. Whitney .36 caliber Navy manufactured circa early 1860s. Octagon 7 - 3/4" barrel with E. WHITNEY / N.HAVEN" address. Pin front sight and frame notch rear. 6-shot cylinder with safety notches. Colt style loading lever. 2-piece smooth walnut grips with initials carved on right grip. CONDITION: Good. Cleaned bright brag patina on frame and barrel with barrel turning brown. Some evidence of cleaned corrosion. Cylinder scene worn off. Grips are dark with no major signs of distress, although have been backed with ivory spacers. BAS
