Cannon measures 13 - 1/8" from muzzle to cascabel. Affixed to a quarter sawn oak carriage with wheels retained by thole pins. Central floor board detached with pins still visible in sides where they originally affixed. These cannons were very popular at the turn of the century as a signal cannon or as a way for a yacht club to start a race. Bore measures approximately 3/4" at muzzle. CONDITION: Some bolts replaced with modern iterations, but cannon body, pins, axels, and brackets have a pleasing deep mustard patina and some dings. Significant verdigris around touch hole, but a light easily shines through. Wood has some chipping but is strong throughout. A pleasing example. EMW
