Circa 1985. A lovely example of best quality, handmade, Italian gun craftsmanship. This 20 bore shotgun has been built with 27" blued steel barrels. The barrels have been fitted with ejectors, 3" chambers, low profiled tapered, stippled vent rib with white round front bead sight. Top barrel reads "DESENSANI & C. BRESCIA - ITALY -". Bottom barrel reads "KG1.260 15.9" and "PACHMAYR-LOS ANGELES CA". Barrel flat is stamped "CAM. 76", "0120" (serial number) and with appropriate Italian proof marks. Chokes are Over - Full and Under - Modified. The elegant 7-pin coin finished hand detachable sidelock action is equipped with a single inertia trigger and is non-auto safe. "SIGURA" (SAFE) has been inlaid in gold just ahead of the engraved and checkered safe slide. Trigger guard has a right hand rolled edged trigger guard and has matched scroll engraving. Top lever is scroll engraved with checkered thumbpiece. The exquisite Bulino game scene and tight scroll engraving has been executed by G.M. GUSSAGO / INC. PELIV. Left lockplate is engraved with 3 grouse flying through a field with forest surrounding. Right lockplate shows a covey of quail flushing with a farmhouse in background. Action bottom is nicely adorned with 2 pointing dogs infield as flying grouse takes flight. The rich brown European walnut stock with straight and smoky grain has been built with drop points, a thin pistol grip and finished with a checkered butt. The matched checkered game forend has a checkered Anson-styled push-button release and a gold inlaid crest at center. Exterior iron metal is coin finished and scroll engraved. This handsomely crafted game gun resides in single leather makers case with black and gold leather trade label, nickel-plated snap caps and selvyt polishing cloth. CONDITION: Very Good. Barrels retain 95% original blue. Action is sound. Ejectors are in time. Trigger is crisp. Stock is very good with evidence of repair on right just beside the trigger guard and with some handling/usage wear. Forend is very good. Case is in very good condition with scuffs and light bruises. Very nice over-under game gun. CP
