Circa 1921 (Action). A .220 Swift bolt action magazine rifle with a sporterized stainless 26" steel barrel. Barrel fit with blued mid barrel band with eye for sling swivel and a stippled ramped front blade sight. Muzzle is crowned. Barrel is marked "GRIFFIN & HOWE INC. NEW YORK", ".220 SWIFT". Receiver is marked "U.S. ARMORY MODEL 1903", " 1230789". Action is built with a blued single trigger, two position flag safe and a Lyman peep sight. Action features a side mounted magazine which enables the user to either have the rifle as a single shot piece or the option to use as a repeater. European walnut stock with nice smoky, straight lines, shadow line cheek piece, sharp checkered pistol grip and forend. Stock also with gold oval, eye for sling swivel and is finished by a orange/red rubber recoil pad. Pistol grip with blued steel grip cap. Forend with ebony tip. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel is very good with some light handling marks. Action is smooth. Trigger is good. Lyman sight with some indication of wear. Stock and forend very good with some storage markings.
