Springfield M1 Garand semi automatic rifle. Made June 1945. Correct Springfield barrel dated "6-45". No import mark found. Lock bar style rear sight. Bolt, operating rod, and trigger group are all Springfield marked. Stock has a circled "P" firing proof on the wrist. Faint boxed "SA" cartouche on the left side of the stock. Metal retains its original parkerized finish. Stock and handguards have been lightly sanded. Includes a period green canvas sling, in addition to a combination tool in the buttstock. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its original finish with general wear and a few dried grease stains in areas. Wood has a few dings and scratches, but is otherwise very good. Bore is frosted, but retains sharp rifling. Muzzle gauges at a 1, throat at a 0. Mechanically fine. Sling is excellent. JWA
