Lot includes bent "Burnside" size shoulder belt plate, tin candle stand, artillery fuse mallet (possibly CS), 8 gun wrenches, knapsack hooks, approximately 60 bullets, 9 large cents, 3 Indian head pennies, 3 silver seated Liberty half dimes (1854, 1855, 1863,) misc. percussion caps, knife scabbard tip, broken spur, 2 eagle buttons, etc. CONDITION: Excavated. Silver coins, good. A nice lot all from one location. The Texas brigade was camped in this area in 1861-1862 in support of batteries along the Potomac.
