Lot consists of (A) Standard issue infantry waistbelt with open C-clasp keeper, no belt plate. Full length. Black finish showing wear and loss to finish, but solid and ready to mount a plate. Rack number 45 stenciled inside with earlier number blacked out. CONDITION: Good. (B) Union bullseye, corrugated, canteen. Gratz, Philada. marked spout with vent hole. Tinned finish turned gray. Brackets in place with some rust, but solid. No holes or open seams. CONDITION: Good. (C) Regulation pistol cartridge box. Pittman maker mark on face of body. Sewn and riveted latch tab and belt loops. Crazing to finish. A few chips of finish off from upper reverse and scuffing to top edge. Standard mid-size box used mid-war for both .36 and .44 cartridges, with larger boxes used later for different cartridge pack configurations. A basic cavalry accouterment. CONDITION: Good. (D) P1853 Enfield bayonet. Silver gray with dark gray spotting. Good edge and point. Functional locking ring. Minor freckling at base. Inspector number B (?) 13 on base of blade. CONDITION: Very good. Enfields were used widely by both sides in the Civil War. This group is a good cross-section of original Civil War gear.
