Circa 1907. A 12 gauge early made game gun with 30" blued steel barrels. Chamber lengths are 3". Barrels are fit with extractors and a machined filed concave tapered rib with steel round front bead sight. Rib also fit with extension for crossbolt. Chokes are Full and Modified. With its date, it is more than likely an original factory cutaway. Left side of receiver has been milled to show coil action spring and portion of hammer forward of pivot pin. Also milled to show portion rearward of pivot pin showing hammer, sear & firing pin. Stock was also milled to show action parts. Bottom of action & trigger plate milled to show firing mechanism and locking lug. Boxlock action built with double triggers, checkered top lever, and is auto safe. Safe slide is checkered. Trigger guard extends to a bottom tang with serial number "494". Stock built with round knob-styled pistol grip with flat top checkering and fitted with an orange "HAWKINS" ventilated pad. Splinter forend Deeley styled latch release. CONDITION: Very Good. Barrels retain nearly all of their blue. Action and triggers are mechanically sound. Stock and forend are very good. Interesting and fun piece. CP
