Left side of left barrel reads "CHAMBERED FOR 3IN SHELLS" in eye-shaped oval. Rear lump stamped with a "P" in a circle. Barrel flat reads "S 2763 E". The chokes are Improved Cylinder and Improved Modified. The blacked boxlock action is stamped with patent information and the gun's serial number "S 2763 E" on watertable. Action is built with double triggers and a visible third fastener. Slide safe is serrated and "SAFE" is stamped in between checkered top lever and safe slide. Left side of action is engraved "IVER JOHNSON", "SKEET-ER". Right side of action is engraved "IVER JOHNSON'S ARMS & CYCLE WORKS", "FITCHBURGH MASS, U.S.A". Gun is auto-safe. A rich, honey-colored English straight hand grip stock with sharp checkering is finished by an Iver Johnson plastic plate. Plate with Owl in circle logo. The matched beavertail forearm is designated with matched checkering, blacked iron metal and a Deeley-styled latch release. Interior iron metal is blacked and carries gun serial number. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain 85% black with some handling marks and silvering at muzzle. Action, trigger, and ejectors operate well. Stock and forend are excellent with some very light handling marks and most likely gun's stock and forend benefit from a refurb. Good gun! CP
