Circa 1925. A 20 gauge game gun with blued steel 26" barrels with 2 - 3/4" chambers. Barrels are fit with "Paragon Ejectors", a raised concave machine filed rib with extension, small round mid bead, and an off-white round front bead sight. Chokes are Skeet and Skeet. Serial number "201116" is stamped on lump. Dark grey patina sidelock action with hunting games scenes is furnished with blued and checkered double triggers, engraved and checkered top lever, cross bolt locking mechanism, serrated safe slide with window that shows the word "SAFE" beneath. Gun is auto-safe. "BAKER GUN CO." is engraved on both lockplates. Dark and smoky walnut stock is built with a sharp checkered pistol grip. Pistol grip with a black plastic grip cap. Buttstock is finished by a plastic serrated butt plate. Snap slender forearm with matched checkering. Forearm metal is blacked and lightly engraved and serial number is stamped on interior wood and metal. Gun has extractors that are divided like ejectors but do not have ejector mechanism. It is rumored that these late guns often were used as parts clean-up guns and Baker often just used what was on hand and made it work. CONDITION: Good. Gun benefits from refurb. Barrels retain approximately 85% blue with slight handling marks from use and storage. Slight discoloration at bottom rib near muzzle. Action and triggers appear to function properly. Stock and forend are very good with some handling marks from use and storage. CP
