This is a 2 piece button made with TEXAS spelled out between the narrow points of star and with a well-defined rope border around the inside of the edge. Measures approximately 23mm. See Albert TX17 and Tice234. Excavated from a Powell’s Creek with document from the digger describing when and where the button was found. CONDITION: Very good excavated condition with nice patina. Slight push. Lined field soft on the convex edges but visible. Back and shank in place. Reverse has finder’s inventory number.
