Lot contains: (A) Fallschirmjager badge the consignor states was recovered on the eastern side of the Neva River, east of Leningrad (then the Soviet Union). Elements of the 7th Flieger Division deployed to that region in the fall of 1941 after their campaign in Crete in May of 1941. Badge consists of a broken zinc wreath and a brass eagle with an illegible maker mark. Consignor provided six pages of documents pertaining to the purchase of this badge and copies of photos from the region it was found in. CONDITION: Overall good. (B) German military issue canteen marked "SMM37" the consignor states was previously owned by a Fallschirmjager veteran when he was taken prisoner in France during the fall of 1944. Consignor has provided a two-page biography of the veteran and two copies of photos of the veteran. There is no name on the canteen. CONDITION: Overall very good. WEZ
