Measures 24 - 11/16" from tip of missaki to munemachi. Iori mune. Classic shinogi zukuri form with chu kissaki and a fairly active midare hamon, straightening near habaki and turning in yakidasi. No visible hamon. Nakago with 2 mekugi-ana, and signature on left side; some characters illegible but last 2 appear to be Kanemasa. Takanoha yasurime. Ha agari kurijiri. Brass habaki. Standard mounts include tsuba with florals, somewhat less defined than normally seen, floral-over-roe menuki fuchi and kashira, chrysanthemum menuki. No sarute. Imitation rayskin same panels. Leather wrapped saya with simple copper strip for a koiguchi, hashi made out of a leather strip, and affixed by two snaps with geometric designs. CONDITION: Blade is out of polish with no visible hada, and some scratches from an amateur polish. Various spots of shintetsu, and some pitting primarily along the shinogi-ji and mune but visible in several places. Nakago has heavy oxidation along last 2 - 1/2". Mounts are good with some darkness, chrysanthemum starting to form verdigris and what looks like salt damage (sea?). Tsuka ito tight with some marks from what looks like sharpie. Leather is good, lightening towards drag, with several scrapes and bumps throughout. EMW
