Measures 18 - 1/4" from kissaki to munemachi with shallow iori mune and shallow sori. Shinogi zukuri blade form. Hada and hamon obscured by polish. Gilt copper habaki, probably formed to fit this blade as top has been reshaped. Mumei nakago with 2 mekugi-ana, one plugged with copper, and a softened kiri yasurime. Kurijiri nakagojiri. Tsuba with hundreds of small punched flowers throughout. Fuchi decorated with florals highlighted shakudo, menuki and kashira en suite. Imitation rayskin same panels, black tsuka-ito. Plain black saya with kurikata and another notch halfway down. Kozuka with florals over roe pattern and remnants of a signature, now illegible. CONDITION: Sword is out of polish, with blade details obscured. Some spots of oxidation and clouding can be seen in the blade with some microchips in the ha. Mounts are good with some rubbing from age and some loss of definition. Saya is repainted with chipping visible under the newer coat of paint. EMW
