Custom Lefever Arms Company "DS" (Durston Special) grade side by side shotgun made from 1903 to the end of Lefever production. Blued "Dura" steel barrels with matted rib and bead front sight, engraved with 2 gold bands and added scroll triangle near the breech face. Frame is polished and engraved in scroll and animals retaining "Lefever Arms Co. Syracuse, NY. U.S.A." on locks. Walnut checkered round knob pistol grip with brown Pachmayr pad. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with friction release. CONDITION: Overall good with 95% custom blue finish. Wood has been sanded, checking recut, and finished added with appearance of usage marks and dings. Bores show frosting in front of the chambers. Good mechanics. JTH
