Measures approximately 28 - 1/16" from kissaki to munemachi; habaki is frozen preventing a precise measurement. Unusual blade shape like shinogi-zukuri but without a yokote, and with a kissaki that is different from shobu-zukuri; possible that the yokote was polished out. Iori mune. Nakago with katte sagari yasurime and, 2 drilled mekugi-ana, and signed on left side in 5 characters, and what looks like a date on right side. Kengyo nakagojiri. Brass tsuba with florals on ground and raised edges. Cast fuchi and kashira with silver plate and floral designs. Floral menuki. Koijiri decorated en suite with tsuba, ashi is silver plated brass with a simple raised central ring. Painted wood saya. CONDITION: Good. Blade has surface scratches from polishing throughout, and a few minor pits. Mounts are fine as recently manufactured, with a visible split in same. Saya with scrapes to bare wood but solid. EMW
