German Mauser 1940 dated "42" code P.08 Luger semi automatic pistol. Made 1940 at the Mauser Oberndorf factory. "1940" marked on the chamber. "42" marked on the toggle. "(eagle)/655" Waffenamts on the right side of the chamber. No import marks found. Matching serials on the visible numbered parts. Blade front sight with v-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Correct unnumbered checkered wood grips. Includes a matching aluminum bottom "122" code magazine. Blued body with an "(eagle)/37" proof. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with general wear and handling marks. Grips have crisp checkering. Bore is very lightly frosted with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light wear. JWA
