Originally manufactured by DWM during the Great War and was later reworked in accordance with the Treaty of Versailles. The receiver is stamped "1921" with Weimar eagle proofs on the right hand side. Toggle bears the DWM monogram. A faint Weimar eagle is present on the top of the barrel, towards the chamber. Rear of frame bears a police unit stamp "St.24.", Prussia's Stettin police unit, which served as the Weimar Republic's largest port on the Baltic sea. All numbers are matching, with the exception of the firing pin which is mismatched and the grips which are unnumbered. Trigger bears part of it's former serial number beneath it's matching number. Accompanied by a blued "FXO" magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their arsenal reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some areas of light oxidation beneath the finish, as well as wear and thinning that show through to brown patina. Bore is bright and exhibits some light oxidation and good rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing as well as some impressions, but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. A nice "1921" dated P.08 Police Luger. MLW
