Manufactured by DWM from a variety of surplus, refurbished, and new components for commercial sales after the conclusion of World War I. Major metal components are blued, with some smaller components being strawed. Left side of receiver and breechblock bear crown over "N" nitro proofs. Toggle bears the "DWM" monogram. Right side of receiver is stamped "GERMANY". Matching numbers are present on the frame, locking bolt, sideplate, trigger, and rear toggle link. Remaining components are unmarked. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting a few areas of wear and thinning that show through to brown and gray patina. Strawed components retain fair amounts of their finish, exhibiting wear all around. Bore is bright, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Magazine shows oxidation beneath it reapplied blue finish. Checkered walnut grips show moderate smoothing, with a few scattered impressions. MLW
