German Walther "ac/44" Code P.38 semi automatic pistol with holster. Made circa 1944 at the Walther factory. Considered a "2-tone" gun as the frame is a standard blue, but framed formed a plum color during the bluing process. "(eagle)/359" Waffenamts throughout. No import mark found. Matching serials on the frame, slide, barrel and barrel block. Blade front sight with standard U-notch rear. Factory blued finish. Original brown plastic grips. Includes two original blued steel magazines. One is marked "P.38V on the bottom and has a "(eagle)/359" Waffenamt on the spine. Other magazine is "jvd" marked, with an "(eagle)/WaA706" Waffenamt on the spine. Base is numbered (not matching to the gun). Also included is a "bml" Code (Hans Romer Fabrik fuer Heeresausruestung) marked pig skin flap holster. Faint "P38" marked on the back, in addition to an illegible Waffenamt. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with some wear. Grips are very good overall with light wear. Bore is shiny with sharp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazines have light wear and scratches. Base on the numbered magazine is bent. Holster is near excellent with some light wear on the magazine pouch, and on the back. Stitching is tight. JWA
