14 - 7/8" from kissaki to munemachi. Hira-zukuri form, with iori mune and a shallow sori. Nakago with three mekugi-ana, all punched, and has been artificially cut into a tanagobara-gata style. Yasurime looks like a mixture of several style but is predominantly katte sagari. Kuriji nakagojiri. One piece brass habaki. Cast mokko gata tsuba depicting a monk with a fan on one side and a waterfall on the other. Fuch idepicts a brom and scroll with shakudo highlights, and florals. Foliage green tsuka-ito with menuki depicting flames, scrolls, and leaves (ohba?). Kashira with an old man wielding a naginata with florals, highlighted in shakudo. Plain black painted saya with kozuka, decorated with shakudo crosshatching and horizontal filing. CONDITION: Blade is out of polish with a few spots of minor oxidation. Some surface scratches from the amateur polishing. Mounts good, tsuka ito with some loose strings and fraying but still complete. Saya good a crack down the spine and some scrapes but complete. EMW
