Measures 17 - 1/16" from tip of klissaki to munemachi. Shinogi-zukuri form with iori mune. Polish obscuring hada and hamon. 2 mekugi-ana, one plugged with copper. Yasurime is heavily softened but looks like katte sagari. Kurijiri nakagojiri. Tsuba with pierced through decorations of florals. Fuchi with florals and a butterfly on a basketweave pattern. Menuki in the form of florals, same panels are imitation rayskin. Kashira depicts florals with shakudo highlights. Kozuka depicting a yumi and a quiver is marked on the blade Suishinshi Masahide and looks to be gimei of a more recent vintage. Saya with an interesting textured finish with 3 semegane and an iron koijiri that measures 6" from tip to base, replaced. CONDITION: Blade is out of polish with some ware and microchips to cutting edge. Tsuba with some spots of oxidation. Fuchi is very good, kashira has some oxidation. Same a more modern replacement of reproduction rayskin. Saya is good with some rubbing and a few minor chips, koijiri has even oxidation. EMW
