Mauser "Red Nine" Commercial semi automatic pistol. Made at the tail end of the Prussian contract and sold on the commercial market. These guns retain the same features as the contract guns, but lack Military proofs. Standard company address on the right side of frame and on the chamber. "(Crown)/U" proofs on the chamber and bolt. "9" burned into each grip panel and painted red. Matching serials on the visible numbered parts, including the grips. Standard round steel barrel with blade front sight and rear tangent adjustable to 500 meters. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Original 24 line wood grips with a light oil finish. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with light wear and handling marks. Grips are excellent. Bore is clean overall with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
