Measures 25 - 13/16" from kissaki to munemachi. Iori mune. Hamon and hada obscured, looks to be suguha, probably oil quenched. Mumei nakago with 2 mekugi-ana, one copper filled, other drilled. Katte sagari yasurime, with a small area of kiri at top. Ha agari kurijiri nakagojiri. Brass habaki. Standard World War II mounts, well gilt. Rayskin panels instead of full wrap. Fuchi, kashira, koijiri, koiguchi, ashi, and semegane with traditional floral-over-roe pattern. CONDITION: Blade is out of polish with some surface scratches. Some minor oxidation, primarily in shinogi-ji. Mounts are excellent, saya mounts somewhat more worn, with saya having spots of oxidation and scrapes. A well presenting blade ideal for those who want a true World War II gunto. EMW
