Colt 1911 semi-automatic pistol. Made 1917. Right side of the slide is marked "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY". Left side of the slide has standard patent dates, company address, and rampant Colt pony behind the slide serrations. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marked on the left side of the frame, in addition to inspectors proof just above the magazine release. "P" proof on the chamber. Standard blade front sight and u-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Original diamond checkered wood grips. 2-tone blued steel magazine with no lanyard loop on the bottom. "R" on the lip for Risdon Tool. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with light wear. There is some light brown patina starting to form on the front strap and slide. Grips are excellent. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
