1902 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 228896. 4 - 3/4" round barrel in .32 Winchester Center Fire with 2-line barrel address, blade front sight, and V-frame notch rear. Nickel-plated finish. Fitted with 2-piece carved Mother of Pearl Steer head grips. Complete with unmarked period brass tacked open top leather holster. CONDITION: Excellent, with nearly all of the original nickel plating remaining with the exception of flaking at left of gas shield and on cylinder and scattered age-related freckling and handling marks throughout. Screws, center pin, and traversing center pin latch retain bright peacock blue flame bluing. Grips are excellent with minor handling marks. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is lightly frosted with sharp rifling. Holster is very good with wear on high edges with handling marks throughout. Liner on inside of holster has worn away over time. Brass tacks on holster have turned a pleasing mellow patina. A fine condition Colt SAA with an attractive holster and in a scarcely seen configuration. TON
