Manufactured in 1883. Shipped to Hartley & Graham New York, New York August 8, 1883 in a shipment of 50 guns. At some point in its life went back to the Colt factory to be refurbished. There is an upside-down ampersand on the right rear webbing of the trigger guard. There is also a work order number (640N) stamped on the inside of the back strap and the front grip strap. 2-line Hartford address on the top of the barrel. "COLT. D.A. 41" roll stamped on the left side of barrel. 3-line patent dates on the lower left side of the frame. "41 CAL." on the lefts rear webbing of the trigger guard. Trigger and the back of the hammer are niter blue. Outstanding carved pearl grips with a bulls head motif. CONDITION: Gun retains 95% of the factory reapplied nickel finish and 70% of the niter blue. Action is crisp and locks up tight. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. Grips are outstanding and fit the gun well. There is a very small chip on the right grip. REW
