Colt 1911 semi-automatic pistol. Made 1918 and sometimes referred to as a Black Army due to its black-like, dark-blued finish. Right side of the slide is marked "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY". Left side of the slide has standard patent dates, rampant Colt pony, and company address. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marked on the left side of the frame, in addition to an "(Eagle's head)" proof just above the magazine release. "P" proof on the chamber. Standard blade front sight and U-notch rear. Factory dark-blued finish on the metal components. Diamond checkered wood grips. 2-tone blued steel magazine with no lanyard loop on the bottom. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with very light wear and few handling marks. Grips are excellent. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Magazine has light finish wear. JWA
