Manufactured 1943 as per serial number. Serrated slope front sight, square notch flat top rear sight. Left side of the slide with 2 line 2 block patent and address information with intercepting pony. Barrel with "P" proof on left lug with staked link pin. Left side of frame with "G.H.D." proof under slide release, "P" proof under magazine release, "P" proof and VP proof on left side of trigger guard; right side with 82 subinspector proof. Small parts consist of spurred checkered hammer, thick tab checkered safety, checkered slide release, long smooth milled trigger, checkered magazine release, long 1911A1 grip safety, arched knurled mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Coltwood grips with internal ribs and reinforcing ring. Full blue magazine with "G" proof on baseplate lip. CONDITION: Very good, retaining virtually all of the reapplied parkerized finish. Slide has some minor silvering on high edges with some minor marks from handling and use. Frame with some marks from handling and some high edge wear, light takedown mark. A few more pings than one would expect under the slide release. Expected browned spotting at grip straps. Mechanically fine, bore is good with visible rifling, somewhat softened, with darkness in grooves. EMW
