Model 1885 High Wall chambered in .32-40 manufactured by Winchester in 1893. The top of the barrel bears Winchester's 2-line address followed by a hand engraved "CAL 32-40" towards the breech. Features include a blued 29 - 7/8" full length round bull barrel, a German silver blade front sight, semi-buckhorn rear sight, tang mounted aperture sight, a case colored frame, breechblock, hammer, lever, and buttplate, as well as a smooth walnut buttstock & forearm. CONDITION: Barrel retains virtually all of its reapplied blue finish, exhibiting a few dings beneath the finish as well as some porosity beneath the caliber designation towards the breech. Frame retains the vast majority of its reapplied case colored finish, exhibiting some light edge wear overall. Walnut furniture is excellent, as light sanded and refinished, being slightly shy to the frame and exhibiting scattered handling marks and minor impressions overall. A very nicely restored Winchester Model 1885 High Wall rifle. MLW
