Ruger model Standard semi automatic pistol manufactured in 1949 and chambered in .22 LR. The model Standard was the first firearm to be produced by the Sturm Ruger company starting in 1949 and distinguishable by the red Ruger phoenix symbol which was changed to black after the death of Alexander Sturm. Standard tapered round barrel with pinned front sight blade and dovetailed square "U" notch sight. Black checkered hard rubber stocks with a red Ruger phoenix emblem on the left side. Serrated trigger. One 9 round single stack magazine. CONDITION: Very good overall condition with most of the original bluing remaining. Barrel has scratches and turning a silver patina. Very good bore and good mechanics. GFP
