L. C. Smith “Ideal” Grade side by side shotgun made by Hunter Arms Company in 1928. London Steel barrels with matted rib and bead front sight and extractors. Case hardened “Regular” weight sidelock frame with typical Ideal grade floral engraving, double triggers, and 3 position safety. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with black grip cap and red rubber recoil pad. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with roller banjo style release and ebony forearm inlay. 1 of approximately 2400 made with 32” barrels. CONDITION: 60% original barrel blue with fading to plum, especially at carry areas. 10% fading case colors with balance fading to a silvery patina. Chokes possibly opened to improved cylinder and modified. Stock has been refinished with piece added to butt and added rubber cheek pad. Checkering on grip has been retraced. Good bores and mechanics. DLM
