Lot consists of (A) World War II Rex Products slot brooch Purple Heart numbered "298243" on the lower left side with a Purple Heart ribbon bar, theater made pinback ribbon bar with American Defense and ETO ribbon bar, extra Purple Heart ribbon, and 2 lapel pins contained in a Purple Heart coffin case. The case has the initials "RCF" written on the interior left. (B) Unnumbered slot brooch Purple Heart with ribbon bar and lapel pin contained in a Purple Heart coffin case. (C) Small medal group consisting of a World War II Rex Products slot brooch Purple Heart numbered "262636" on the lower left side with an American Defense Medal featuring a Foreign Service brass bar and a WWII Victory Medal contained in a Purple Heart coffin case. (D) Unnumbered slot brooch Purple Heart with chipped lapel pin and 6 overseas bars contained in a Purple Heart coffin case. The case has a broken hinge. (E) Unnumbered slot brooch Purple Heart with ribbon bar and lapel pin contained in a Purple Heart coffin case. (F) Engraved World War II Rex Products slot brooch Purple Heart numbered "282401" on the lower left side with 2 oak leaf clusters. The medal is accompanied by the matching ribbon bar, lapel pin, Good Conduct Medal with ribbon bar and lapel pin all contained in a Purple Heart coffin case. The Purple Heart is machine engraved to "Nelson H. Hale". There are various soldiers who share this name and the medal warrants further research. CONDITION: Most medals are in very good condition while others exhibit wear. Most cases are in very good condition and others exhibit handling wear. Overall good-excellent. JLD
