Lot consists of: (A) WWII unattributed medal grouping consisting of a slot brooch Purple Heart numbered "338576" on the lower left side, two place ribbon bar with Purple Heart and Bronze Star ribbons, Purple Heart lapel pin, Ruptured Duck lapel pin, and St. Christopher necklace contained in a rare "one line" Purple Heart coffin case. The group also contains a Bronze Star, with ribbon bar and lapel pin, Good Conduct Medal, marksman badge with rifle and machine gun bar marked "Sterling, expert marksman badge with sub machinegun bar marked "Sterling", and loose carbine bar contained in a Bronze Star case. CONDITION: Some medals exhibit slight wear while others remain clean. The cases exhibit typical wear. Overall very good. (B) WWII unattributed medal grouping consisting of a slot brooch Purple Heart numbered "408492" on the lower right side with ribbon bar and lapel pin, full wrap brooch Air Medal with oak leaf cluster, religious medallion of the Virgin Mary, and another religious medallion in a small leather case contained in a Purple Heart coffin case. CONDITION: The air medal ribbon exhibits wear and fading, case exhibits typical wear. Overall very good. JLD
