Ruger No. 1 single shot falling block action rifle chambered in .45-70 manufactured in 1978 to commemorate Lyman's centennial. Blued finish. 28" round barrel with no factory iron sight provisions, but rather blocks on which a matching serial number commemorative Lyman Century Model full length scope is mounted. Receiver engraved on left "LYMAN/1878-1978/CENTENNIAL EDITION II" and on right with "LYMAN/1878-1978" with depiction of a running buck within a rifle's sights, all surrounded by fine foliate scroll. Checkered walnut pistol grip stock with red Ruger recoil pad and checkered Alexander Henry forend. Housed in a very large French fitted walnut presentation case with medallion, historical book, cleaning rod, bullet mold, reloading dies, and 20 rounds of Lyman .45-70 ammunition. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains nearly all of its factory applied finishes. A few minor impression present on stocks. Scope has a few minor handling marks and clouded optics. Fine mirror bore and good mechanics. Case good with bumps and bruises. BAS
