Winchester 1885 deluxe Highwall Schuetzen Model made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company. We believe the lower tang has been changed, therefore there is no correct research/records available to confirm the configuration of this rifle. Blued Winchester 28" No. 3 weight octagon barrel, caliber .22 LR, fitted with a Winchester interchangeable globe front sight and Winchester blank in rear sight seat. Blued proofed flatspring pistol grip action with custom Schuetzen double set triggers, with a standard Winchester double set trigger lever, Lyman 103 wind gauge adjustable tang sight. Original Winchester checkered Helm pattern Schuetzen buttstock and buttplate, Winchester standard grade walnut forearm. All components with the exception of the lower tang appear to be original to this action. CONDITION: 95% original Winchester bluing with sharp edge wear. 90% action blue with lever fading to silver. 90% varnish with some light usage marks and dings with sharp checkering.
