Wonderful late 1920s-early 1930s photo album that depicts the life of two Curtis Wright employees as they navigate their way through Chicago, on the ground and in the air. The album contains over 70 pages of more than 200 photos, all great content showing clear photos of the city of Chicago, airplanes on the ground, in flight, and great aerial shots. The photos of the city are mostly taken from the top of buildings and there are several shots of buildings taken from ground level. The album exhibits a variety of early aircraft, both civilian and military, including Curtis Hawks, Curtis Falcons, Ford Trimotors, USMC Vought Corsairs, and a variety of other aircraft some from foreign nations including France and Russia. There are also photos of various air racers. There is a whole section of the album dedicated to photographing the 1930 Chicago Air Races. Many of the photos depict aircraft in formation and there is even a photo of the Graf Zeppelin over Chicago dated Aug. 28, 1929. The best thing about the album is not only the clarity of the photos, but most of the pages and photos are labeled with descriptions and dates. This album is a must have for the serious aviation collector, or a collector who focuses on Chicago related memorabilia. CONDITION: The album is in excellent condition exhibiting little blemishes on the covers or between the pages. Most of the photos are clear, while very little are out of focus, and the corners remain sharp. Overall excellent. JLD
