Encased in a civilian brown leatherette album that features covers sporting a sailing ship vignette. Pages are separated at the spine, but photos are perfect. Historic "Banana Wars" content that shows stateside and deployed early USMC aircraft, their "droop-wing" EGA and squadron markings, support equipment and hangars. Highlights include numerous crashed fighters and bombers, early seaplanes, single images of Marine officers in service and flight gear, small arms to include 1903 Springfield rifles and M1928 Thompson sub-machine guns. Some of the images are of the Second Brigade, FMAF and operations in Managua, Nicaragua. Inside of cover features four holiday menus featuring early USMC dive bombers in Nicaragua. Overall some very rare Marine aviation photos. CONDITION: Pages are separated at the spine of album, but photos are perfect. BRM.
