Lot consists of (A) World War II 15th Air Force Gunner's uniform that consists of an Ike jacket with beautiful Italian made insignia, wool shirt, tie, trousers, and belt. The Ike jacket is constructed of a cut down four pocket tunic and features rayon trim around the interior waist, cuffs, and pocket flaps. The left shoulder features a beautiful 15th Air Force bullion on felt patch with thick bullion chain border while the right shoulder features an unofficial 15th Air Force patch of the same construction. Each arm exhibits corporal chevrons, the lower left sleeve features an overseas bar, and the lower right sleeve features a USAAF communications specialist sleeve patch. The left breast features theater made blue backed combat crew aerial gunner wings along with 5 ribbon bars including an Air Medal and ETO campaign ribbon bar with 5 campaign stars. The collar features 2 pin back USAAF collar discs. There are several ID markings inside of the collar, including one that reads "S-3531" and "SNOW / K72898". The jacket is already sought after due to the insignia, and could be even more desirable with further research. The jacket is stamped "38L" inside the collar and is complete with a shirt, tie, and trousers. The shirt exhibits a 15th AF patch, corporal chevrons, and a USAAF communications specialist sleeve patch. The spec tag is still legible and the shirt is dated "1945". The trousers retain the original spec tag that has since washed out, but is named to "James Snow" on the interior. CONDITION: All of the uniform pieces are very clean with almost no evidence of mothing. The shirt and pants have a few noticeable stains but have been nicely preserved. Overall very good. (B) World War II 8th Air Force Ike Jacket named to "Otto B. Lawrence" serial number "39711072". The jacket features a British made felt "Stubby" 8th Air Force patch on the left shoulder as well as wool master sergeant chevrons on each arm. The lower left sleeve features five overseas bars and a pair of 3 year service stripes while the lower right sleeve features a USAAF engineering specialist sleeve patch. Above the left pocket are a pair of pin back gunner wings that are marked "Sterling" on the reverse, which are pinned above 4 ribbons including an Air Medal and ETO ribbon with 3 campaign stars. The collar features 2 pin back USAAF collar discs. CONDITION: The jacket is very clean with almost no evidence of mothing and all of the original plastic buttons remain tightly sewn in place. No noticeable stains. Overall excellent. JLD
